Move from surviving to thriving.

Since 1999, Project Genesis has helped survivors of brain injury attain an independent and productive life. We are committed to person-centered planning, empowering our consumers to actively shape their own futures.

As a provider for the State of Connecticut, Department of Social Services Medicaid Waiver for Acquired Brain Injury, we offer:

  • Independent Living Skills Training

  • Supported Employment Services

  • Pre-Vocational Services

  • Companion Services

  • Transportation

  • Community Activities

We also believe that connection and inclusion are affirming powers that strengthen individuals and communities. We therefore strive to deliver many of our services in the community, including life skills training at two satellite learning centers.

CHART YOUR COURSE

Our consumers courageously dare to dream, chart a course, and pursue it. Therefore, our success is measured against each consumer’s goals for their education, career, and life.

These goals may include:

  • Living independently in their own homes and in the communities of their choice.

  • Pursuing work goals by volunteering, learning pre-vocational skills, or obtaining competitive employment.

  • Accessing community resources such as social service agencies, gyms, theaters, restaurants, groups clubs, churches and friends.
  • Pursuing individual goals such as speaking at community groups, participating in statewide retreats, planning family functions, and taking educational classes.
